This event will celebrate the African presence in our central Illinois community and will take place in several venues in Urbana, including the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, the Community Center for the Arts, and the Lincol Square Mall. This is an ambitious program that will include a curated photo exhibit featuring regional African histories, well-known touring, African musicians , as well as local players, a fashion show, a public dance, and African food.

S10:30am - 11:30am (Music for kids and Drumming) at the Community Center for the Arts
12pm - 2pm (Fashion show and speech by King HRH Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, Miafiaga of Anlo kingdom- Volta region, Ghana)
3pm - 4pm (Public Dance) at Urbana Free Library
4pm - 7pm ( African cuisine and music) with Jose Nzita Congolese musician as guest artist.
